• Spiritual Guidance Queries (Optional): Situations or categories you voluntarily enter when requesting biblical life advice.

Your information is used exclusively to:

• Track your progress through the Bible and display personalized milestones and streak counters.
• Deliver local reminders and scheduled notifications at your requested daily reading times.
• Synchronize your reading history and preferences securely across your devices.

3. Third-Party Services & Technologies

ScriptureJourney uses trusted third-party providers strictly to facilitate core application features:

• Google Firebase (Authentication & Cloud Firestore): To securely store and synchronize your reading progress. Firebase operates under Google's enterprise security and privacy standards.
• Google Gemini AI API: To generate contextual biblical life guidance and devotional reflections based on scripture text. Queries do not contain personally identifying information.
• Google Play Services: To deliver application updates and standard app ecosystem functionality.

4. Data Storage & Security

We implement industry-standard security measures, including HTTPS encryption in transit and secure database access rules in Firestore. Your reading data is private to your account and is never sold, rented, or monetized for third-party advertising.

5. Data Retention & Deletion Rights

You maintain full ownership of your data. You may reset or delete your reading history at any time directly within the application settings by clearing your local storage or requesting account data removal.

6. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)
